Magical Notes:
The 27th is the next Full Moon. As we are approaching Samhain this is a good time to work into your Full Moon Ritual possibly Spiritual advancement, perform scrying and to be thinking of your ancestors. Spells to think about
- Banishing unwanted influences
- Creating protection magic
- Performing divination
- Releasing old patterns or issues
- Knowledge and guidance
- You can start working your Full Moon spells 3 days before the Full moon rises and 3 days after
Samhain is on the following Saturday after the Full Moon. So now is the time to consider what you intend for this special night that is our New Year. So start to think about
- Your ritual. Will yo be working in a group or solitary
- Incense - The sooner you have made this the better (I shall include a couple of recipes at the bottom of this weeks almanac posting.
- Your altar, will it be an inside or outside ritual
- Do you have specific ancestors or loved ones you wish to think about on this night

² ·3 parts Apple
² ·2 drops Patchouli Oil

² ·1 part Dragon's Blood resin
² ·1 part Hyssop
² ·1 part Patchouli
² ·2 parts Rosemary
² ·1 part Sage

If you want to try your hand at blending your own then here are some herbs with the corresponding meanings as a guidance. Also, if you have Scott Cunningham’s books ‘Encyclopaedia of Magical herbs’
and ‘The Complete Incense, Oils & Brews’, then have a browse through those for some inspiration. If
you don’t own these, I highly recommend you add them to your Yule/Xmas list for this year!

·Cinnamon for protection (and because it smells good)
·Salt for purification
·Pepper for ghostly protection
·Apple for Samhain and fall
·Mugwort for physic awareness
·Wormwood for protection against evil spirits
·Bay for psychic powers
